Student Representative: Colorado Mesa University

Abigail Hanlon, OTS

What do you love about OT?

I love the diversity of the profession and how it can provide accessibility to individuals across the lifespan. I also appreciate how holistic and client-centered OT is.

How did you choose this profession?

I chose occupational therapy because I have enjoyed working with individuals of all ages prior to entering CMU's program in settings such as SNFs, Elementary Schools and therapy clinics!

Why did you choose to become an OTAC student representative?

I chose to become an OTAC representative because I think advocacy for our profession is incredibly important and wanted to be involved in the process of doing so for not only our profession, but also CMU.

What's your favorite thing to do in Colorado?

My favorite thing to do in Colorado is to go skiing!
