What do you love about OT?
I love that occupational therapy is practical, creative, and deeply human. We get to meet people where they are, identify what matters most to them, and problem-solve barriers so they can participate in the everyday activities that give life meaning—whether that’s caring for themselves, being a parent, returning to work, or re-engaging in their community.
How did you choose this profession?
I’m a third-generation healthcare professional who initially thought healthcare wasn’t for me. I studied psychology and began my career in advertising sales, but within a year it became clear it wasn’t the right fit. I was truly grateful to return to healthcare—and even more grateful to discover occupational therapy, which has been the perfect blend of science, people, and meaningful problem-solving.
Why did you choose to become an OTAC board member?
I joined the OTAC board because board decisions directly impact our ability to practice, get reimbursed, and serve patients. I want to help protect and advance our profession in Colorado—strengthening OT’s voice at the state level, supporting clinicians and students, and ensuring we’re at the table when legislation and regulations are being shaped.
I’ve genuinely enjoyed and respected every OT I’ve met—so it’s a privilege to be part of this collaborative, passionate community.
What’s your favorite thing to do in Colorado?
There’s so much I love about Colorado. Beyond connecting with the OT community, I love building connection through music and yoga—and spending as much time as possible outdoors.
