What do you love about OT?
I love the creativity and adaptability the field offers making it personalized and specialized to each person's needs.
How did you choose this profession?
When I was younger, I had an injury that resulted in spending two years in physical therapy. Around that time, occupational therapy was just starting to gain attention in my hometown. I decided to shadow a pediatric OT, and I instantly fell in love with it—it was so much fun! The saying, "If you love what you do, you'll never work a day in your life," kept popping into my head, and I just knew this was what I was meant to do.
Why did you choose to become an OTAC board member?
I’m new to Colorado and wanted to connect with local occupational therapists while becoming more active within the state’s OT community.
What’s your favorite thing to do in Colorado?
The mountains, of course! Whether it’s hiking, skiing, or just taking in the view, I love everything about being near them.
