The OTAC Legislative Committee meets monthly during the Colorado legislative session to review current legislation with our OTAC lobbyists that affect OT practice.

The committee is also involved with multiple advocacy efforts on behalf of OT practitioners in Colorado with other issues that affect practice.

OTAC welcomes practitioner involvement and feedback on issues that affect OT practice in Colorado.

OTAC currently has drafted the bill HB22-1068 to be introduced to the state legislature during the 2022 session. This bill will correct an exclusion that currently excludes Medicaid clients from reimbursement for equine assisted therapy from OT, PT, and Speech therapies.
